What is the difference between a polarimeter and a refractometer?
A polarimeter measures how a substance rotates polarized light and is used to identify and check the purity of chiral compounds. A refractometer measures refractive index and is used for identity, concentration and Brix. Many labs use both.
Can several instruments be combined into one measuring system?
